GUIDE 04 / LAST MAN ON THE DOOR
How to play a free browser battle royale with friends
Create the party first, check the member list, then queue together. This walkthrough covers the joining process and the small decisions that make your first team round easier.

Give one person responsibility for the party
When friends open the same browser game, they are not automatically placed together. Last Man on the Door uses a group invitation code or link so you can join before entering matchmaking. Battle Royale friend teams support up to four members. Count the people who want to play and choose one host before sending invitations. The host controls the group’s mode, map and privacy options. A single organiser prevents the common problem of several people creating separate groups and assuming everyone else has joined theirs.
Ask everyone to choose a recognisable display name for the session. You do not need matching names, but the host should be able to identify the expected members in the list. Changing names halfway through setup makes that simple check harder. Open the game directly in a browser tab and allow it to load before the planned start. Desktop and touch controls are available, though each device still needs to run the game comfortably. A quick movement check now is easier than diagnosing an unfamiliar control during the opening fight.
Create a group and share the current invitation
The host’s steps
Open the Friends area and use the option to join by code or link to reach the group panel. Choose the group creation action. Once the group exists, the panel shows its code and an option to copy the invitation link. Share that link through your usual conversation, or send the code for your friends to enter in the group code field. Keep the invitation with the people you intend to invite. It is a route into the group, not merely a decorative reference number.
Everyone else’s steps
Follow the invitation link or enter the current group code and choose the join action. Then wait for the host to confirm your name in the group list. Seeing the game’s home screen does not by itself confirm that you joined. If your name is missing, check which panel you are in and whether the code was copied correctly. Avoid creating another group as a quick guess at a fix; that can leave several valid invitations circulating while different friends wait under different hosts.
Saved friends and a session code do different jobs
The persistent friends list helps you find contacts across sessions and uses account features. A group invitation is for bringing people together in a particular session. These concepts are related, but the identifiers are not interchangeable. If the Friends area prompts you to sign in, use its group code or link access when that is what you are trying to do. Do not paste a permanent friend identifier into a field asking for a group code and expect it to select the same destination.
Decide whether other people should be able to join
The host controls the private option. Public play lets your group enter a session that can include other participants. Private play contains your group and bots, so it is useful when you want to learn together without unfamiliar human players joining the lobby. Private does not mean every character you meet is one of your friends. Explain that difference before the first round, particularly if someone expects the whole map to remain empty except for the small party you invited.
Battle Royale supports up to fifty participants, with bots used to complete lobbies when needed. That is not a promise of fifty human players in your session. Choose public or private according to the kind of game you want, not an assumed population. A simple agreement helps: perhaps the first match is private for learning, followed by public play if everyone is comfortable. Make that choice before queuing so one person is not preparing for a quiet introduction while another expects unfamiliar opponents immediately.
Queue only after checking the member list
When the expected names are present, the host uses the play together action. The waiting room shows the departure countdown and participants. A private group that is already queued can offer the host a launch now action. Other members should not expect the same organising controls. Weapon practice in Titanic’s waiting cabin can help with aim and handling, but its equipment is cleared when the real round begins. Treat it as a place to learn the inputs, not a way to bring a prepared arsenal into the match.
Plan for the actual starting conditions
Titanic begins with individual preparation
The protected opening search lasts thirty five seconds. Each player needs to find the key, knife and life vest in their private area, open the gate and reach the exit. Battle Royale arrivals then use separate cabins, so the group should not assume everyone will start shoulder to shoulder. The first useful call is a status update and a clear meeting intention. If a friend is still finding the gate, give one instruction they can act on instead of asking them to join a fight they cannot yet reach.
After the transition, compare equipment needs before choosing your route. The final door requires every survivor to have a life vest, warm coat and provisions. Up to four surviving members of the same group can climb together, but one well equipped teammate does not satisfy the requirement for everyone. Ask what is missing while you still have a chance to search. That changes cooperation from following the strongest shooter into a shared plan: complete the necessary kit, keep a usable route and arrive with people who can actually finish.
Wall Street needs resource calls as well as target calls
On Wall Street, capital is part of survival. Bankruptcy can eliminate a participant, so announcing an urgent resource problem may matter more than pointing at a distant opponent. Do not let the whole team remain in a position that has become unsustainable for one member simply because nobody explained why movement was needed. Use short calls that affect the next action: a route is exposed, a player needs to move, or the group should regroup before committing. Long explanations are easier to discuss once the immediate pressure has passed.
Keep communication useful for the newest player
Online Battle Royale includes team voice. On desktop, V opens the voice controls and holding T talks to the team after activation. The browser may request microphone permission, so check that before relying on it mid round. Voice is not required to form a group. You can also coordinate through your usual communication tool. Whichever method you choose, leave enough space for others to speak and for game sounds to remain understandable. Several overlapping instructions rarely help someone decide what to do next.
A new teammate usually needs one landmark and one task, not commentary on every movement. Let them complete an action before adding another. After the round, choose one improvement together: check equipment earlier, stay within a manageable route, or announce a retreat before leaving. This keeps learning cooperative rather than turning the game into a running test. Success can be a clean regroup or a well timed withdrawal, even when the match does not end in a win. Those habits make later fights more deliberate.
Fix joining problems by returning to one shared reference
If somebody ends up elsewhere, return to the current group list. Confirm the host, code, selected mode and whether the queue has already started. Share the code currently displayed instead of circulating several old links. A person who left the group may need to join again before the next search. Wait until the intended names are visible, then queue together. This makes it easier to distinguish an actual connection issue from a simple mismatch between groups and gives everyone a clear place to restart the process.
Frequently asked questions
How many friends can be on one Battle Royale team?
A friend team can contain up to four people. This is separate from the total match capacity.
Does a private match remove bots?
No. A private session contains your group and bots; unfamiliar human players do not join it.
Who controls the queue and private setting?
The group host controls those actions. Confirm the member list before the host starts the shared queue.
